WHAT IS A SELF-HELP GROUP?
What is a self-help group?
A self-help group is a group of people who enter into a dialogue with their peers without intervention of professional aid. Each group meets for a different topic. These topics are sub-divided in different themes.
During the meeting you can discuss anything you are dealing with in order to learn how to cope with it, to accept it or letting it go. Your story matters but you do not attend to complain.
Next to sharing your own experiences, joint activities can take place such as games, crafts or hiking. The group itself determines what they would like to do.
Would you like to know which groups are available? Please go to the page groups. Here you may find a group that suits you. In case there are multiple suitable groups for you, you are welcome to join more than one.
